Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 20, 2026
1. Overview and scope
LineSide AI ("LineSide," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-enabled work platform for manufacturing and supply-chain organizations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you visit lineside.ai, contact us, or use our products and services.
Our services are primarily offered to businesses. When your organization provides you with access to LineSide, your organization may control the workspace and the information processed within it. In those circumstances, please direct requests about your organization’s data to your organization first.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, work email address, company, job title, phone number, account information, support requests, and messages submitted through our website or services.
We process information that you or your organization uploads, creates, or connects to LineSide. This may include manufacturing, planning, inventory, supplier, quality, workflow, communication, and other business information, together with prompts, instructions, rules, and content created through the service.
We automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, authentication events, pages or features used, diagnostic records, and security logs. We may use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, preferences, security, and analytics.
For first-party visitor analytics, we use IP addresses to estimate country and state or region and to group visits from the same public network within a UTC day. Our analytics records contain the approximate location and a keyed identifier that changes daily, rather than the raw IP address. Shared networks and VPNs may group different visitors together.
3. Google and Gmail user data
If you choose to connect a Google or Gmail account, LineSide requests permission to read Gmail and to send messages from that account. Depending on the settings you enable, we may access and store your Gmail address, mailbox profile, message and thread identifiers, headers, sender and recipient information, timestamps, labels, message content, attachment metadata, LineSide email drafts, and delivery results. The current Gmail integration does not copy attachment file contents and does not modify or delete messages in Gmail.
We use Gmail data to provide the connected inbox, synchronization, search, organization, filtering, summaries, user-requested AI assistance, drafts, and automations that you or your organization configure. AI features may prepare an email draft, but LineSide sends that draft only after the signed-in user reviews it and affirmatively chooses Send. We request only the permissions needed for these user-facing features.
Deleting or hiding an imported email in LineSide affects the LineSide copy or view only and does not delete the original message from Gmail. Disconnecting Gmail stops future access after the disconnection is completed, but does not necessarily delete previously imported data unless the product states otherwise. You or your organization may request deletion as described below.
4. Google API Limited Use disclosure
LineSide AI’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness, or use it to train generalized AI models. We use Google user data with AI only to provide or improve the user-facing features that you or your organization request or enable.
Our personnel do not access Google user data except with the user’s affirmative permission for specific data, when necessary for security or abuse investigation, when required by law, or when the data has been aggregated and de-identified for permitted internal operations.
5. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the service; authenticate users; synchronize connected systems; respond to inquiries; provide support; personalize configured workflows; generate user-requested results; monitor reliability; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; comply with law; and improve the service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use workspace or connected-service content for third-party advertising.
6. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to vendors that provide infrastructure, database, authentication, communications, security, support, and AI-processing services needed to deliver user-facing features. Website analytics providers receive limited website usage data, not Google user data. Our vendors may process information only to provide contracted services and are subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
We may also disclose information at your or your organization’s direction; to integrations you choose to enable; to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public; when required by law; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.
7. Data storage, retention, and deletion
LineSide may store service data in the region selected or configured for your organization and may process limited account, routing, support, or security information in other locations. Your organization’s agreement and configuration may provide additional location or retention commitments.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, follow your organization’s instructions, maintain security and business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention varies by data type, workspace configuration, contract, backup cycle, and legal requirements.
You may disconnect a Google account from the integrations area when that feature is available to you. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information or imported Google data, contact hello@lineside.ai. After a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify covered information within a commercially reasonable period unless retention is required by law, security needs, an active dispute, or your organization’s instructions. Residual copies may remain in protected backups until they expire under our backup schedule.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, protected credential storage, logging, and separation of customer environments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact hello@lineside.ai promptly.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe instructions in the message. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal or complain to a supervisory authority.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request. If your account is managed by an organization, we may refer the request to that organization. You may also authorize an agent where applicable law permits.
10. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards for international transfers. Customer-specific data-location commitments, if any, are set out in the applicable agreement.
11. Children
LineSide is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under a higher minimum age where applicable law requires it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected Google user data, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent when required before using that data for a new purpose.
